Where are you located?
I co-own a private studio in Minneapolis, MN called Pinky Promise! The shop address & information is sent in the booking confirmation email
How do I book with you?
Through the tattoo booking page when my books are open. If I have last minute availability, I will post about it on my instagram story. You can always email me with inquiries
What payment methods do you take?
Card or cash! I prefer cash for payment and/or tips when possible. We do not have an ATM so please plan accordingly if paying and/or tipping in cash
What is your deposit policy?
I require a non-refundable deposit to book with me. I do not refund deposits under any circumstances, so be sure you want to be tattooed by me before paying your deposit
Cancel/Reschedule/Late/No Show policy?
It's ok if you need to reschedule! Please give me as much notice as possible. If it’s with less than 48hrs notice you will have to pay another deposit to reschedule (barring emergencies or sickness, please just communicate!). If you are going to be late, please email me if you can with an ETA. If you are more than 15 minutes late, I will have to reschedule you and you will have to pay another deposit. If you never show up to your appointment and never let me know that you’d be unable to, I will not work with you in the future. Deposits are always non-refundable, which means that if you choose to cancel for any reason and not reschedule, you will not get your deposit back
Do you take walk ins?
No, I am appointment only. If I have last minute availability I will post about it on my instagram story!
How can I best prepare for my appointment?
Exfoliate and moisturize your skin regularly, especially the week leading up to your appointment. Stay hydrated, get good rest, eat a full meal before you come to get tattooed. You do not need to shave the area, I will do that for you. Be mindful of what you wear, make sure it gives me easy access to the spot I will be tattooing and make sure it’s something you are comfortable in
Can I use numbing cream for my tattoo?
No, I am not comfortable tattooing skin with numbing cream anymore after finding out about the potential for dangerous health effects. The FDA warns against using numbing cream for tattoos. Numbing cream can also make the skin harder to tattoo/take ink in, and it can affect the healing process. I have bactine for mild numbing breaks if you need during the tattoo, and I am always happy to do tattoos in multiple sessions. If you show up to our appointment with numbing cream on, I will not tattoo you

Can I bring a guest with to my appointment?

Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment unless you need to for a medical or mental health reason! (In which case, please do bring someone!) We are a small shared studio and only have room for ourselves & clients, as well as necessary guests. Thank you for understanding :)
Do you do custom tattoos or just flash?
I do both! I can be selective with customs, please make sure you love my art style before submitting a custom request. Some customs I love doing: nature related (plants, bugs, shells, etc.), animals, vintage inspired things (from photographs or illustrations from books, etc.), sentimental objects, candles/candelabras, spiderweb pieces, botanical pieces
What will you NOT tattoo?
I do not tattoo color, only black & grey. I will not tattoo anything culturally appropriative or hateful. I will not tattoo other people’s designs (except for things like illustrations in children's books/vintage art etc. sometimes)
I do not tattoo these body parts as of right now: ribs, stomach, feet, fingers, armpits, necks or faces. If you want your chest tattooed, I strongly prefer that we have worked together before as it is a difficult and intimate spot to tattoo. Please do not ask me to tattoo anything that I am not comfortable with

If I don’t live near you, can I buy a tattoo ticket to get your art tattooed by someone else?
I used to allow this but I do not anymore. My art is mine, and it’s unique to me. I don’t have control over how anyone else would tattoo it, and everyone tattoos differently. It’s demeaning to what makes my art mine. Please do not disregard this and get my art tattooed by someone else anyway. Putting stolen art on your body forever is very disrespectful
Is your flash repeatable?
Some of it is, and you can see the repeatable flash here. I try to add to this regularly. Mostly, I love doing one of a kinds. If you saw a one of a kind piece you really liked but didn’t get, depending on the piece, I can draw something similar for you. Just send me a screenshot of the piece you liked and that you want something similar, and I will get back to you
How can I contact you?
Email me! I usually respond within a week at most. If it has been longer than that, feel free to reach out again if you’d like
Anything to know about you?
I am generally a quiet person, and I tend to get in the zone when tattooing. Without prompt, I am likely to be mostly quiet during the time I am tattooing, but I am happy to talk during appointments if you’d like to! If you’re quiet as well, and feel more comfortable with a silent appointment for any reason (aside from necessary talking) just let me know and I am more than happy to accommodate that for you. Another thing to note is that I generally cannot tattoo for longer than 3 hour stretches at a time. If your piece is larger, or taking longer than expected, I will need to stop around the 3 hour mark and we will need to continue in another session. Thank you for understanding!
What do you do for aftercare?
Everyone does aftercare differently! I use the saran wrap method. I am pretty covered in tattoos, and I have healed every single tattoo of mine with the saran wrap method. I don’t like using second skin style bandages because they can be unpredictable. Skin is finicky. Sometimes people who’ve had the second skin bandages before will suddenly have a reaction, even if it’s worked for them in the past. I like using a method with little room for mishaps. I have aftercare zines that I give to every client who wants one once we are finished with the tattoo
What if I need a touch up?
I offer the first touch up within a year of the tattoo for free! Just email me with which tattoo you need a touch up on, a picture is great if possible, and I will get back to you about scheduling! I do recommend waiting at least 3 months after the tattoo to get a touch up
Do I need to tip for a free touch up?
You don't need to, but it is very appreciated!
How long have you been tattooing?
I began tattooing at the end of September 2023
Do you still make pottery?
I do, just less often
Do you accept returns on online orders?
No returns. Please be certain you want something before buying it!
How soon will my order ship?
Ready to ship items will usually ship within a week. Pre-order items have a stated ship time on the product page, but usually within a month or so. You can always email me to check on the status of an order!
Do you ship internationally?
I don’t currently have the option for it on my site, but I am happy to ship internationally if you email me and we set up something via PayPal. Do be aware that international shipping can be more costly, which is out of my control
Do you offer local pickup?
If you have gotten explicit consent from me to do so, or if you have a tattoo appointment with me then yes. Use the code pckup at checkout. Just talk to me about it prior so that we can coordinate a time
